Professor Mooyoung Han visits GRAF

GRAF is committed to sustainable water management the world over

As the European market leader in rainwater harvesting, GRAF has set itself the job of undertaking pioneering work around the globe. Things that we take for granted are unimaginable in many parts of the world where it is not uncommon for entire villages to have no access to fresh water.

To this end, GRAF has for many years maintained contact with Prof. Mooyoung Han, chair of the Special Rainwater Harvesting Group, member of the International Water Association and Professor at Seoul National University (South Korea). Professor Han has initiated many rainwater harvesting projects around the globe.

Several joint international projects have already been implemented, one of which has received the "National Energy Globe Award" and has been nominated for the "Global Energy Award".  This project enabled the inhabitants of the island of Kido (South Korea) to use rainwater as drinking water. GRAF underground tanks and filter systems now provide the inhabitants with a reliable water resource.

Following years of close working relations, GRAF had the honour of welcoming Professor Mooyoung Han to its head office in Teningen where he was able to see for himself the process of production in state-of-the-art facilities.

His visit also provided the impetus for further projects which will be a major element of future collaborations.
